The Eyes Have It 10/06/2010
![]() Have you ever really looked into an animal's eyes? If you do, you'd see something truly amazing - something that's missing so much in the "human world" today. You'd see: I love you. I care about you. I adore you. I'm here for you. I'm devoted to you. I want to spend time with you. You are my world. You exist. You matter to me. You make a difference in my world. Thank you. I forgive you. When I work on an illustration of an animal, I see the same thing in the eyes of this paper rendition that I see when my real, live animals look at me. The eyes truly speak. The more I work on the art, the more the animal comes to life, and the more it gives me what the human world can't - true kindness, caring, and love...a sense that I matter in this world, and that I make a difference to a living creature. No judgment, no condemnation, no criticism, no selfishness. I am so grateful and so honored to be able to experience this from the animals who cross my path in this lifetime - on paper and off. I thank them for giving me the gift of their love, and I am delighted to give them mine, because they are truly deserving of it. 1 Comment |
